We strictly follow a "De-escalate & Educate" model to maintain a respectful and inclusive environment for everyone.
The standards every snout is expected to uphold.
Our Safety Protocol below describes how we enforce the rules. This Code of Conduct describes what those rules are. By participating in Southeast Snouts—online or at an event—you agree to uphold these standards.
You must be 18 or older to take part. Some events may check ID at the door.
Every interaction should be entered willingly, with clear knowledge of what it involves. Anyone can call a stop at any moment.
Never share legal names, identities, or photos of others without their explicit permission. No outing, ever.
Bullying, harassment, hate speech, doxxing, and illegal content result in an immediate ban.
Discrimination based on gender, orientation, race, disability, religion, or any identity is not tolerated.
Follow all instructions from Leadership and venue staff. Each space may have its own additional rules.
Talk through limits and intensity with anyone you plan to play with before things start. Once you're in headspace, you're still responsible for respecting boundaries and keeping things safe. We use a traffic light system so everyone can signal where they're at:
Stop what you're doing right away—no pushback, no questions. Red is final.
Slow down or check in. Something is approaching a limit and needs attention.
Generally fine to continue. Still listen for changes at any moment.
Be upfront about your sexual health with anyone you play with. Exposing someone to risk without their knowledge breaks this Code.
Keep others’ real names, jobs, and personal info to yourself unless they’ve told you it’s fine to share.
Connecting someone’s scene identity to their public identity without permission is one of the most serious violations there is.
Don’t record or photograph people in a way that makes them recognizable unless everyone in frame has said yes. If someone appears in the background, blur or crop them out before posting anything.
Ask before you tag anyone from the community in a post—every time, even if you think it’s obvious.
If a conversation becomes heated but hasn't broken hard rules, Leadership will intervene to pause the specific topic or enable "Slow Mode" (where available) to allow for reflection. We do not ban for difference of opinion; we intervene when respect is lost.
Public call-outs breed drama. If a member breaks a minor rule, we prefer private resolution:
A Leader will reach out via Direct Message (DM) to the user privately.
"Hey, giving you a heads up that your last comment crossed the line regarding network rules. Please edit or delete it so we can keep things cool."
If private correction fails or behavior continues, we follow a documented path:
A documented warning via Direct Message.
A 24-hour mute or suspension to allow for reflection.
Removal from the specific group or platform.
Zero-Tolerance ViolationsDoxxing, hate speech, harassment, or illegal content result in an immediate ban bypassing the escalation path.
We recognize that Leadership is human and misunderstandings happen. We offer a fair, transparent path to appeal any permanent ban.
Appeals are reviewed by the Southeast Snouts Leadership team as a group, not an individual. This ensures a balanced perspective on any decision.
If a ban was personal or involved a specific leader directly, that individual must recuse themselves from the vote to ensure absolute impartiality.
If you believe you were banned unfairly from one of our network spaces, please use the form below to begin the review process.
